Greg Baker is the CTO at Daisee and has over 20 years of deep technical leadership experience. He is a well-known technical author and speaker in Sydney.
He completed his thesis (in which he developed the world’s first quantum computing simulator), while he worked at CSIRO. After that, he founded a consulting company with a client list which was a
who’s-who of startups, multinationals, governments and charities in Australia and overseas — including most of Australia’s top-50 companies — before being approached to work at Google. There he authored a patent and identified a feature that became part of the PageRank algorithm. Post-Google, he ran a startup to a successful exit.
Over his career, Greg Baker has been asked to give parliamentary evidence on wireless carrier licensing and wrote the clauses for digital rights management in the Australia-USA free trade agreement. Other notable achievements include winning the Australian Mathematics competition twice and writing two film scores.
