Dr. Beatty has been committed to an industrial career in cardiac electrophysiology for the past 27 years. He was co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Endocardial Solutions (ESI), which developed a 3D cardiac mapping system, and then was VP of Therapy Development at St. Jude Medical after it acquired ESI. Dr. Beatty has held several development
and management roles throughout his career and has distinguished himself as a scientific and clinical partner with leading physicians, worldwide. He has been previously associated with the USCI and Electrophysiology divisions of CR Bard, Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. (Later Boston Scientific), Angemed Corporation, and EP Technologies (later Boston Scientific). Dr. Beatty is an expert in the electrical properties of excitable tissue, the biophysics of ablation delivery, and the design and development of medical instrumentation. He has over 35 issued patents and earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the Universities of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
