Grace Borsari - Founder of Altair Advanced Industries in WA Grace Borsari is a longtime manufacturing, sales, and distribution executive who guides Altair Advanced Industries, Inc. (AAI), in Bellingham, Washington. Grace Borsari’s firm was originally part of the Alpha Group, which had interests in areas such as alternative energy and broadband
cable power supply. These backup power source products are integrated into systems that cable television and other media companies rely on to ensure that content is delivered reliably and with a minimum of interruptions.
Ms. Borsari is a women-owned business enterprise leader who has overseen the distribution of many scholarships to women studying in the advanced materials and computer science fields. She is also on the board of the Innovative Resource Center, which provides startups with the resources necessary to take their concepts to the next level.
Grace Borsari’s professional background extends to Switzerland, where she started off studying art at a Bern trade school. Eventually turning to photography, she gained early professional experience with a resort in the Swiss Alps, where she took, developed, and packaged scenic photos while also selling cameras. This led her to identify further opportunities in Canada, both as a photographer and ski instructor. In 1980 she came to Bellingham, WA to start her manufacturing company, backup power supplies for the broadband industry.
