Gil Horsky is the Founding Partner of FLORA Ventures (www.floravc.com) a new early-stage VC fund that is identifying, backing and partnering with the best purpose-led entrepreneurs redefining the $8T AgriFood & Sustainability industries, to make food that is good for people, and kind to the planet. The fund’s investment thesis is focused on
the intersection of the AgriFood industry with Planetary & Human Health, all underpinned by deep-tech.
Gil was previously part of the SnackFutures founding team, the ventures (CVC) & innovation hub from Mondelēz, and led the company’s venture capital investments in capabilities: foodtech, R&D, sustainability, e-commerce and supply chain.
Among others, SnackFutures invested in Hu Kitchen (later acquired), Torr FoodTech, Celleste Bio and others.
Throughout his career, Gil had the privilege to work in a variety of commercial roles on some of the most iconic global food brands: Milka, Pepsi, Quaker Oats, Toblerone, Cadbury, Oreo, Tropicana & Nestle Purina.
Gil Horsky leveraged strong business & consumer insights to identify, develop and launch over $800 of new food products, FoodTech technologies and businesses around the world. His professional career has taken him around the world gaining strong international experience in both developing & emerging markets.
Gil Horsky is a regular contributor to leading industry journals and a speaker in leading international conferences about the topics of FoodTech, innovation and new ventures.
