Gian Maria Mossa has served as Chief Executive Officer of Banca Generali since March 20, 2017. With a career spanning many years in the financial sector, he has held various managerial positions in leading insurance and banking groups both in Italy and abroad. Born in Milan in 1974, he holds a Degree in Economics and Business from the University of
Milan-Bicocca and has undergone a training program at the University of Glasgow. He began his professional career at RAS, where he initially worked in the Risk Management & Asset Allocation sector, before transitioning to the Sales and Marketing Departments. In 2006, he joined Banca Fideuram as Manager of Products Development. Throughout his tenure, he held various roles before being appointed as Head of Marketing, Commercial and Private Development Department, where he reported directly to the CEO. During this time, he was responsible for strengthening Banca Fideuram’s strategic positioning in the private banking sector and revamping its product and service offerings. In 2013, Gian Maria Mossa joined Banca Generali as Joint General Manager, later becoming General Manager in 2016, with responsibility for the entire company. The following year, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Group. He has been serving as the Chairman of Assoreti since May 28, 2026.
