Gerry Stone founded The Rehab Documentation Company, Inc. in 1995, now known as ReDoc Software. Over the company's history, he has served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Clinical Officer.
As a practicing Physical Therapist for 20 years, handwriting clinical documentation became increasingly burdensome for Gerry, which led
to the idea of ReDoc Software.
Gerry bought a $300 Microsoft Access Developers kit from Office Depot, and with the help of two part-time developers, the first ReDoc Software product was sold on the market one year later. Since it's inception, ReDoc has grown to sell more than $30M of ReDoc products.
Prior to starting ReDoc, Gerry served as Director of Rehab Services at Trevecca and Bethany Skilled Nursing facilities for nearly 15 years. Additionally, he has extensive experience in home health, outpatient clinics and PT education.
Gerry was the first PT in Tennessee to become a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist in 1994. Additionally, he was chosen and served on the Neuro-Muscular panel of the American Physical Therapy Association to help to write The Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, Volume 1 (1995-1997).
Gerry earned a M.Ed. in Human Development and Counseling from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Physical Therapy in Baltimore City.
