Jerry Michael is the President and co-founder of SmartLeaf, Inc. He co-founded SmartLeaf in 1999 to automate customized, tax-, risk- and expense-sensitive portfolio management. Jerry is also the President of SmartLeaf Asset Management, a wholly-owned RIA subsidiary that offers direct index models and uses SmartLeaf technology to power an automated
outsourced overlay service.
Before founding SmartLeaf, Jerry was a co-founder and director of Crimson & Brown Associates, which was sold to a division of the Washington Post. Jerry holds a Series 65 license, and has a a B.A. in Math and a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He lives and works in Cambridge, MA.
