Gerald is Investment Director at Intel Capital, focusing on technology sectors in Greater China, especially in cloud infrastructure/ISV, big data analytics/services, enterprise/industry software, and telecommunication network segments. He invested in Alauda (container technology) and Primarius (EDA tool) recently. Before joining
Intel in 2011, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Taisys Technology, Inc. where he primarily managed smart card security control, sub-contracted manufacturing and quality assurance activities. He is also a seasoned venture capital investor with experience with Walden International Taiwan branch between 1999 and 2006, deeply involved in direct investments, company building, financial market consulting, planning and Board participation for enterprises in various stages. Before switching career to venture investments, he was a senior product manager with BenQ where he led the engineering team in building the TV and the projection display product lines and won multiple international OEM customers. Gerald holds an M.B.A. from National Cheng-Chi University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Sun-Yat-Sen University in Taiwan.
