George Shen is the DBA Student at Swiss School of Business and Management.
Mr. Shen brings extensive international business experience to his position as Chairman and CEO of EarthGen BioFuel. George has worked in developing countries most of his business life and has extensive international business experience. He has held senior management
positions for companies operating in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Columbia, Nicaragua, and Peru. George believes that in international business to achieve long term operating success, it is important to gain full understanding of the local custom and culture and build an operating model that produces profits but also assists in the advancement of local economies as well as, supporting the company’s workers and their communities.
Mr. Shen’s has an extensive international business career e as the turn around manager for a textile manufacturing company in the Republic of South Africa then under Apartheid. George also has worked for, and or represented some of the largest corporations in America and Asia, including Bank of America, Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley), Clarion Communication (now part of Qwest) in Asia as the President of Asian Operations, and Realforce Energy Group. Mr. Shen was also a senior advisor and representative of Davis Petroleum for a number of international transaction and International Tobacco Group (China).
Mr. Shen served as a senior advisor for business development for Davis Petroleum in China and in Latin America. During his tenure with the Davis Group of companies he negotiated a number of international contracts and acquisitions. The Davis business interests included oil and gas operations in Colorado, Texas and Asia. Additional Davis owned 20th Century Fox, Pebble Beach Golf Resorts, the Beverly Hills Hotel among other icon business properties.
Mr. Shen is often interviewed as an expert in on China topics ranging from politics, economics and business law by local radio and television stations, George is active in many community based service organizations
Mr. Shen has served as an officer or director of a number of organizations and companies, he was a member of the US Department of Commerce Advisory Committee on Environment and Energy. He also served on the Board of Director of Justiceville (in support of temporarily homeless victims).
Mr. Shen received a JD degree from Northwestern California School of Law. George was born in Taipei, Taiwan, ROC in 1956, and moved to the United States with his family in 1972, he is now residing in the San Gabriel Valley area of the Los Angeles county California, with his wife Jillian. George served in the US Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983 and volunteered to go back to the California National Guard post the events of 9/11. Mr. Shen received his BS degree in Business Economics from Chapman University while serving in the US Marine Corps. He later earned an MBA degree from Central China Normal University with a special thesis on Chinese Banking Reform. George is currently enrolled at China Central University for Finance and Economics the number one graduate business school to be a visiting instructor and to continue building his own insights into the Chinese economy and to create face-to-face relationships with senior banking and business leaders.
Earthgen Biofuel is an international agriculture company creating products used in manufacturing and transportation from renewable resource non-food crops. The Company is growing Castor Beans in Laos and Vietnam and marketing the Castor Bean seed harvest to processors that extract the castor seed oil, which is high demand in world markets. There are over 700 main products and close to 3,000 derivate products that utilize castor seed oil.
