Dr. George L. Drusano, MD, PhD, serves as the President of International Society for Anti-infective Pharmacology (ISAP). Dr. Drusano serves as Advisor of F2G Ltd. He serves as Advisor and Consultant of SelectX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He serves as Advisor of Achaogen Inc. He serves as Consultant for over 20 companies in the pharmaceutical industry.
He serves as Senior Staff Scientist of Ordway Research Institute. He served as Clinical Advisor of Enanta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He served as Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Hospital and became a tenured professor in 1992. He serves as Co-Director of Ordway Research Institute Inc. He was the recipient of the Rhone-Poulenc Award in 1991 for the most innovative research with luoroquinolones. He was also the recipient of the American Society of Health System Pharmacy Research and Education Foundation Drug Therapy Research Award for outstanding contribution to the scientific pharmaceutical literature in 1998. His reviews for several scientific journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, the New England Journal of Medicine and the Annals of Internal Medicine. Dr. Drusano has BS in physics from Boston College and MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
