As a Vice President at Aon Risk Solutions, a global professional service firm, Geoff Pope specializes in providing insurance, risk management, and human capital solutions for middle-market, large private, and publicly-traded companies in various industries. Prior to his current career, Geoff played for four years in the National Football League
with the New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals, and Philadelphia Eagles, winning Super Bowl XLII his rookie season in New York. After suffering a career-ending injury, Geoff Pope returned to his alma mater, Eastern Michigan University, where he completed his last semester and received his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing. Pope then went on to receive his Master's of Business Administration from Columbia University 5 years later.
An Epilepsy Advocate, Geoff Pope has also dedicated himself to giving back to his community in a variety of capacities. He first began working with the Epilepsy Foundation back in 2008. Then, in 2013, Pope became the youngest member to be appointed to the Foundation's Board of Directors under the recommendation of former Congressman Tony Coelho. Shortly after being appointed to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Pope, alongside the president and CEO Phil Gattone, launched the Athletes vs. Epilepsy Initiative, a national initiative focused on supporting and raising awareness for athletes who have epilepsy. Today, Geoff Pope currently sits on the Executive Committee and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee and the Athletes Vs. Epilepsy Initiative.
Geoff Pope is a dedicated father, mentor, and speaker. As such, Pope truly enjoys the ability to motivate and connect with others. Depending on the audience or topic, Geoff looks to transfer knowledge or share an experience with his audience in hopes that it will help them overcome an obstacle or solve a problem. Over the past two years, he has spoken at a number of institutions and organizations including Harvard University, Robert Morris University, Temple University, Howard University Football Team, Detroit Jesuit High School, and Midnight Golf Program.
Geoff Pope enjoys the ability to motivate and connect with others. Depending on the audience or topic, he looks to transfer knowledge or share an experience with his audience in hopes that it will help them overcome an obstacle or solve a problem. Geoff also sits on the Board of Directors for EdcuationWorks, which engages children and young adults by providing high-quality educational programs in the Philadelphia area.
