Gavin Darby is the Chairman at the Felix Project and the former President of the Food and Drink Federation, as well as the former CEO of Premier Foods, where he served for 6 years. He has 35 years of experience in CEO, president, executive, and board director positions throughout telecommunication and consumer goods industries in the U.K. In
addition, Gavin Darby has held various positions at Vodafone PLC, the Coca-Cola Company, and Coca-Cola GB, and many others.
Gavin Darby began his career in sales and marketing at Spillers Foods following his graduation from university. Following his time there, he joined SC Johnson, and eventually went on to the Coca-Cola Company, where he worked for fifteen years. Over the course of his time at the Coca-Cola Company, Darby served in several positions, including marketing executive and general manager, until rising to the position of President of the Benelux/Denmark, northwest Europe, and the Central and Eastern European Divisions.
Following his time at the Coca-Cola company, Gavin Darby transitioned into the consumer technology sector as the COO then CEO of Vodafone UK, where he remained for ten years. He became the CEO of Cable and Wireless Worldwide PLC in 2011, where he established himself as a key player in public company business turnarounds based on his work there.
Gavin Darby returned to the consumer goods sector in 2013 when he took the role of CEO at Premier Foods PLC. Similarly to Cable and Wireless Worldwide, Premier Foods was experiencing trouble, and Darby helped to restructure the business and stabilize the company.
Gavin Darby has an undergraduate degree in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester.
