Gary Lytle co-founded Clark, Lytle & Geduldig (formerly Clark & Lytle) and brings nearly 30 years of governmental relations experience to representing the interests of the firm’s clients. Prior to re-joining Clark, Lytle & Geduldig in 2008, Lytle was senior vice president of federal relations for Qwest, where he served as head of the
Washington, D.C. office and lead lobbyist on all issues involving Congress, the Administration, and the Federal Communications Commission.
From September, 2000 until 2001, Lytle was interim president and chief executive officer of the United States Telecom Association (USTA). From 1993 to 1999, he was vice president of federal relations at Ameritech, and from 1980 to 1992 held government relations positions at Michigan Bell, including vice president of government affairs, where he was responsible for all state and federal relations activities.
Lytle is also on the board of directors of the University Club of Washington, D.C.
Lytle holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees in Business Administration from Michigan State University, where he played varsity basketball and baseball. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Lytle currently resides in Arlington, Virginia. Lytle has four adult children.
