Gary Jenkins joined America II as Chief Financial Officer in August 2016. In this position, Jenkins is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction at America II. Within finance, he guides the accounting, treasury, tax, and financial analysis functions to pursue the company’s aggressive growth strategy and meet its clients’
expectations.
Before joining America II, Jenkins was the President and CFO of AmeriLife, an insurance marketing firm. He also held a previous CFO role with Academy Life and later joined Americo Financial Life and Annuity Company as its CFO and Executive Vice President. Prior to his executive roles, Jenkins started his career as a CPA with Grant Thornton.
Throughout his 30 plus year career in accounting, auditing and financial planning, Jenkins has established a reputation for building world-class teams and for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy and high-growth. For his achievements, Tampa Bay Business Journal named him a finalist for the 2014 CFO of the Year. Jenkins holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania.
