Freddy joined Genkyotex in 2008 as Head of Screening and Biotechnology with more than 12 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and a strong knowledge of the drug discovery process.
He is responsible for development of Genkyotex’s unique NOX screening platform. Prior to joining Genkyotex, Freddy was Principal Scientist in the screening
department of Siena Biotech (Siena, Italy).
He was responsible for all aspects of assay development and played a leading role in the EU funded STREP project to identify new targets in Huntington’s disease, a rare neurodegenerative disease. He also designed and developed an innovative high throughput screening approach that led to the identification of novel small molecules candidates as disease-modifiers for Huntington’s disease.
Freddy holds a PhD in pharmacology and molecular biology from Louis Pasteur University (Strasbourg).
