Dr Françoise Liners joined Vesalius Biocapital Sàrl in September 2011 where she works as analyst, performing due diligence on projects proposed for investment.
Françoise also holds the position of Technology Transfer Officer at CRP-Santé, public research organisation based in Luxembourg and active in the biomedical field, supporting
ting CRP-Santé’s researchers and inventors in the promotion, protection and transfer of their research results to the market place.
Starting her professional life in the academic environment and later on in the industry (SME), she gained a 15 years experience in public-private RDI project management and fund raising, mainly in the Agro-Biotech field both at Belgian and European levels.
She also acquired a solid knowledge of clustering processes and the role of clusters in the performances of regional/national economies by fostering open innovation through public- private collaborations.
Françoise Liners holds a PhD degree in Biology from the University of Namur, Belgium. She specialized in immunological approaches applied to plant and algal cell wall polysaccharides (pectins, inulin, carrageenans and alginates) well-known for their application in food technology and their role in human health, on which she authored and co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
