Faheem Abdullah, known as The Imaginary Poet, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Srinagar, Kashmir. He is a singer-songwriter, writer-director, filmmaker, poet, orator, and event manager. A multilingual creator, Faheem writes poetry and short stories in English, Urdu, and Kashmiri.
He graduated from Bangalore and is currently pursuing an
Honours degree in Literature from Srinagar. In 2019, he co-founded Mad in Kashmir, a Srinagar-based film production house, where he serves as CEO. Faheem made his directorial debut with the music video Baalyaro, followed by Jhelum and several other visual projects. He later made his singing-songwriting debut with Jhelum as an independent artist.
In 2025, Faheem Abdullah lent his voice to the soulful track “Saiyaara” from the film Saiyaara (2025), marking another milestone in his artistic journey. He is also the founder of the Harud Foundation, an initiative supporting art and culture in Kashmir.
His debut anthology is set for worldwide release, showcasing his poetic vision and storytelling craft.
