His passion for adventure and mentorship continued to grow through his participation in Camp Pontiac, a residential camp in Copake, New York, and a teen tour that took him from the East Coast down to Mexico. These experiences nurtured his skills in leadership, safety, and youth development.

Evan's dedication to the safety and growth of campers was evident during his tenure as a camp counselor. He ensured the well-being of his charges by fostering an environment conducive to skill development and personal growth. His responsibilities were underpinned by his extensive training in first aid and CPR, coupled with a deep understanding of youth engagement and effective communication.

His professional journey took a significant turn when he decided to leave his position as a senior associate at a corporate internal investigations firm in Manhattan and Washington, DC. This decision was influenced by the birth of his daughter Sylvie, which prompted him to relocate to Loudoun County, Virginia. Here, the concept of Ivy Country Adventures was born—a project driven by his desire to pass on the valuable lessons of independence and resilience he had learned as a young camper.
