Eric has been involved in energy markets for 15 years and is Genscape’s senior expert on natural gas dynamics and fundamentals. He helped launch and now lead some of our award-winning products including our Forward S&D, East S&D, and Daily S&D, and is responsible for producing our weekly EIA estimate. Prior to Genscape, Eric worked for
Mercuria as a coal trader, and spent 7 years with Merrill Lynch Commodities as a VP focused on natural gas analysis. At the start of his career, Eric launched a long-short equity hedge fund where he covered the energy and commodity space, and eventually moved to an energy-specific long-short fund focusing on global coal and uranium mining industries. Eric is a Charted Financial Analyst and has a BA in Applied Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
