Mr. Eric Chen is the founder of Vitargent (International) Biotechnology Ltd. Established in 2011, Vitargent aims to be a world leading platform to provide innovative testing solutions and certification to enhance the safety of everyday consumer products (e.g food, drink, cosmetics) and to protect the environment. It has successfully signed up with
the world’s largest cosmetics groups, F&B conglomerates, leading testing labs and government departments. With the firm support of these groups, the technology/protocol is being developed as regional and international standards.
He invests and advices on a number of international tech companies and VC Funds including iNetwork Ltd (Israel-Focused VC fund), WI Harper (Silicon Valley VC fund), Pebbles Interface (an Israel VR company, acquired by Facebook in 2015), Sanguine Biosciences Inc (an US Healthcare/IT company) and Geneformics (Israel data compression technology company).
He graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a first class degree in Engineering and minor in Marketing, and earned his Master of Economics at the University of Hong Kong. Mr. Chen is the First Ever Forbes Asia “30 under 30” Winner (2016), Davos Innovation Pioneer (2015), Grand Prix Winner of the 43rd International Geneva Inventions (2015), HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards (Asia) winner (2011) and a Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholar (2007). Mr. Chen is an enthusiast in sports - he had played baseball for China and is now playing badminton for a leading club in China.
