Emmanuel Owusu Addai is a co-founder (with Alloysius Attah) of Farmerline, a company that provides improved information access and communication pathways for smallholder farmers and agricultural stakeholders. Emmanuel is a 2014 Echoing Green Global Fellow. He received a BSc and MSc degrees in Geomatic Engineering, both from the Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Emmanuel love thinking through problems and coming up with workable solutions, and I get to do this through my work as a software developer. He has leveraged his experiences in building location-based/GIS and GPS applications, SMS and voice applications, and brings abstract algorithms to real life by building workable solutions for the agricultural ecosystem in Ghana and beyond. He heads the Tech Team of Farmerline and leads the development of customer-responsive applications that meets the needs and expectations of both users and beneficiaries. He is also the lead developer and partner at iCottage Networks, a leading web development firm in Kumasi, Ghana. Emmanuel loves to support great ideas in ICT4D and youth entrepreneurship. His specialties are in the area of Technology Implementation, Software Adaptation Management, Positioning & Navigation, VOIP Applications Development, and Mentoring Youth.
