Emma Rees is the Co-founder and CEO of Deployed, a disruptive SaaS platform that uses software, data and decision-making science to help people write, create and agree work faster.
In July 2020, Deployed was named a Global Winner of M12’s (Microsoft's Venture Fund) $6m Female Founders Competition (in the Enterprise Software category); one of
four winning businesses chosen out of hundreds of applications. Deployed has also been awarded two coveted Innovate UK government grants. Having recently been named in the “301 Female TechTrailblazers”, Emma is a rising star amongst women in B2B tech and is passionate about nurturing other women.
Emma has always been a ‘grafter’ with an entrepreneurial spirit. Before Deployed, she ran the popular pop-up chain, Blow Bar, which had five locations across London at its peak, with its flagship outlet on Regent Street, and 140 on-demand staff across the capital. This led Emma to develop a deep understanding into the gig economy and explore ways she can help change the way businesses describe work.
