Ellen Costello is a Corporate Director and former executive of BMO Financial Group. She retired after 30 years in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer of BMO Financial Corp. and U.S. Country Head of BMO Financial Group, responsible for providing governance and regulatory oversight for BMO’s U.S. businesses in personal and commercial banking, wealth
management and capital markets. She was Chief Executive Officer of BMO Harris Bank from 2006 to 2011. Prior roles include senior leadership positions in corporate banking and capital markets in Canada, Asia and the U.S.
She also serves on the Boards of Citigroup Inc. and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago
