Elena is a former Research Associate on wearables at MIT MLE and Alumni of the Material Futures MA at Central Saint Martins in London. Her work brings science closer to people through the development of lifestyle consumer products using smart materials.

She presented her research at the MIT Technology Review Emerging Technologies Conference last October and became UK’s top 3 innovators of the year women in tech as well as 2n'd most disruptive business by Prince Andrew initiative Pitch@Palace.
She has also recently been appointed as Director of Design Research at Room One Labs to define and explore the intersections between connected objects and virtual environments.
