Edward Ray brings invaluable management and Board directorship to Quantason.
He is President of Sonoworld.com, a medical communication company whose mission is to bring free or low-cost educational materials and information to the global ultrasound community.
Previously, Ed founded and was Chairman of Interspec, a NASDAQ company developing
and marketing diagnostic ultrasound instruments. Interspec merged with ATL which was subsequently acquired by Philips. He was also President of Airshields, the world leader in infant incubators and monitoring equipment.
Prior to the above, Ed worked at GE-Aerospace Group where he established and managed GE’s Ocean Systems Department. He also established and managed the Advanced Space Nuclear Operation which developed nuclear isotope power system for the Apollo Moon Landing and for other deep space missions.
Ed served as a Director of the Jefferson Ultrasound Research and Education Institute and was a Board member of the Benjamin Franklin Foundation.
