Edward McCarthy is Vice President, Operations at Vnomics.
Prior to joining Vnomics, Mr. McCarthy served as the Senior Program Manager at the Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He was responsible for developing and directing strategic initiatives for a research partnership with the Department
of Defense. He was also an RIT Reliability Center Maintenance facilitator with experience in both military and industrial applications.
A retired military officer with more than 20 years of active duty with the United States Marine Corps, Mr. McCarthy served in positions of increasing leadership and technical responsibility within the armor community in both the United States and overseas. His experience includes Inspector Instructor with 8th Tank Battalion where he was instrumental in the deployment of more than 400 hundred Marines for combat in Iraq. He was also an Electrical Engineering Instructor at the United States Naval Academy where he developed and implemented the first Computer Engineering program at any of the service academies.
Mr. McCarthy holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a BS with Merit, in Mathematics, an MBA from the Simon Graduate School of Business, and was an Arleigh Burke Scholar from the United States Naval Academy.
