Ed is a second time founder, previously founding Bay State Metal Finishing Corp. Prior to finding entrepreneurship, Ed began his career at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution the world's premier independent organization dedicated exclusively to ocean research, technology, and education. At WHOI, Ed was a member of the Deep Submergence and
Advanced Engineering Labs, notably a key member of the deployment team for ROV Jason, a remotely operated underwater vehicle.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Architecture from the University of New Hampshire.
