SoGiv was founded by Edward Bogard of BOGARD footwear & apparel in 2009.
Bogard set out to do something a little different than your typical entrepreneur.
While trying to become established and break into the world of design, he decided to give back right out the gates. He always knew he wanted his designs to “change the world, one
design at a time.” By creating and launching the Global Awareness Shoe, he knew he could do just that.
However that wasn’t enough.
He decided to start a non-profit that would allow 100% of the proceeds to be donated towards saving & changing lives. While Bogard admits he was no doctor or medical researcher, he knew that if he did this then his humanitarian efforts would not go unnoticed. In fact they would finally be realized through his gift of design. Bogard always said, “If you’re not GIVing you’re not LIVing“… SoGiv!
