Ed Steger is a five-time head and neck cancer survivor. The effects of surgery, radiation, and years of toxic chemotherapy resulted in his diagnosis of severe dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) in 2007. His last normal meal was in 2006. Mr. Steger was elected President of the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders in 2012. He has worked
tirelessly to raise dysphagia awareness, advance swallowing disorder education, promote research, and provide patient support. He designed the product and had a major role in prototype production using the latest technologies. Prior to his head and neck cancer diagnosis in 2005, Ed spent almost 30 years in industry as a management consultant. He has a Master's degree from Carnegie-Mellon University.
