Ed studied Music and Politics at Queens' College, Cambridge University before embarking on a law conversion course in London.
Upon qualification, he joined international law firm Hogan Lovells and later moved to Brecher, a leading specialist law firm.
In late 2015, Ed had the seed of an idea for an Airbnb concept for booking outstanding live
music for weddings and events...and FixTheMusic was born.
He decided to return to his earliest passion – music, and began working full-time on FixTheMusic.
Ed had learned piano, cello and cornet from an early age, but developed a keen interest in composition during his school years. Over several years, he was a composer on the prestigious National Youth Orchestra Composition programme.
Before Cambridge, Ed studied Composition at the Royal College of Music under Mark-Anthony Turnage.
Ed is a published composer and his works have been performed in concert throughout the world, as well as live on BBC Radio.
Ed is the main point of contact for clients and wedding planners on FixTheMusic. He has taken an active role in the design of the website, and is always on hand to cast his keen legal eye over any contracts when required!
He still performs as a pianist at weddings and events in the UK and internationally.
Ed lives in London with his wife Ngaio. Outside of work, Ed enjoys hiking, cycling and eating.
