Earl Heims, who opened the doors of Earl Heims & Associates. He did good ads. Sometimes right on the back of a cocktail napkin. In 1962, ex-CIA public relations man, Harry Turtledove, joined him. Heims & Turtledove did good ads and good PR (but now you had to know the secret code.) In 1972, Jay Clemens, fresh out of business school, added
strategic marketing to the mix and things changed forever. Today, well over a half century later, Turtledove Clemens is a fully-integrated marketing communications firm with offices in Portland and Seattle.
