Since Durwin kickstarted Startup Weekend in Singapore in 2014, he has grown one of Singapore’s largest startup communities 10x in just three years, raising over $600,000 in sponsorships from government agencies, investors and organisations to support the next generation of founders. He continues his work to bring more support to early-stage
founders through StartupX, garnering a partnership to launch a pre-accelerator for startups.
As a serial hackathoner, has won and joined close to 30 hackathons in Asia. In 2017, he won the inaugural Airasia global hackathon Airvolution, beating out teams from all over the world.
Durwin also manages and operates a successful childcare business that continues to grow year on year.
