Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose career and life reflect dedication to service and learning. Dr. Seth Eidemiller began his journey on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho, where he gained valuable lessons in hard work and dependability at a young age. Before medicine, he worked in wildfire suppression and
construction, which built his skills in teamwork and practical problem-solving. He also pursued studies in International Studies and Spanish, earning degrees that enabled him to understand diverse perspectives and cultures. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno, and subsequently trained in emergency medicine in Fresno. Today, he serves as Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.
His education started at the University of Idaho, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. After completing those, he returned to Boise for additional science coursework at a local university, preparing for medical school. He worked as a lab instructor and manager and also participated in biomedical research focused on human health and systems biology. These roles deepened his knowledge of science and built his confidence in teaching and collaboration.
Before entering the medical field, he worked with a federal agency as a wildland firefighter. He also learned practical trades through construction, taking on tasks in carpentry, electrical systems, and home repair. Experience in the restaurant industry helped him develop patience and the ability to remain calm while handling multiple priorities and fast-paced situations.
He began medical school in 2012, gaining broad clinical exposure through rotations in pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, and internal medicine. Dr. Seth completed his emergency medicine residency in Fresno, where he trained in high-volume emergency departments. He became skilled in airway management, resuscitation, procedural sedation, and bedside ultrasound. He managed diverse emergencies, focusing on clear communication and efficient teamwork.
After residency, he worked in emergency departments in Merced and Chico. In 2020, he joined his current physician group, eventually becoming Vice Chair in 2024. He oversees operations, supports staff, and continues to provide direct patient care while also maintaining his clinical practice in Fresno.
Dr. Seth Eidemiller holds board certification and an active California medical license and remains committed to patient care and ongoing learning. Dr. Eidemiller’s path is marked by steady growth, practical service, and a deep respect for his profession.
