I lead multidisciplinary innovation teams to deliver breakthrough innovations with transformational commercial impact. At Kaikaku.ai we are creating novel robotics and AI for quick service restaurants.
I joined Ocado Technology in 2013 to help the CTO and COO to deliver a large development programme to create the novel e-commerce and robotic
warehousing technology that Ocado is now rolling out to sixty warehouses for clients in eleven countries (as you can see in my background picture).
Subsequently I recruited a team of thirty elite technologists to become Ocado’s “10x” innovation team. The 10x team invented, developed and applied artificial intelligence, machine learning and novel robotics technologies to improve Ocado's e-commerce systems, leading to industry-leading low levels of food waste.
The team also created a chatbot whose knowledge could be so rapidly updated by the customer service team that it handled half of incoming requests, passing the rest to call centre agents.
Most recently the team has propelled forwards an innovative collaboration with two private-equity-funded autonomous driving software startups to create an autonomous grocery delivery service using novel vehicles with no human on board.
Previously I was a Partner at a city-based management and technology consultancy working on business and technology strategy, transformation programme delivery, due diligence for private equity investors and IT dispute resolution.
