Dr David Gerber, MD, MHSc, FRCS(C), is a leading labiaplasty (labia reduction surgery) surgeon in Toronto, Canada. He has been a family doctor in rural Manitoba and Alberta for four years prior to starting as a gynecologist in 1997.
He received his degree from the Medical School at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. After completing
his internship in Cape Town, he worked in a Ciskei hospital for one year as an Internal Medicine and Obstetrics, and Gynecology doctor (an underprivileged region). He was trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After finishing his residency, he worked in Toronto as an Incontinence Surgeon. He received a Master of Health Sciences in Bioethics from the University of Toronto in 2004.
In Toronto, he pursued academic gynecology at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Science Centre during this period. He was especially interested in minimally invasive surgery, colposcopy, and emergency gynecology.
