Dov Schlein is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of NuVerse Advisors LLC. Prior to founding NuVerse Advisors LLC, Mr. Schlein was an advisor to the group chairman of HSBC Holdings on Israel. Prior to that, he served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Republic New York Corporation and Republic National Bank of New York.
Mr.
Schlein joined Republic National Bank of New York as a Vice President in 1976. Over the next 24 years, Mr. Schlein served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and President of Republic National Bank of New York. In 1998, Republic New York Corporation and Republic National Bank of New York appointed Mr. Schlein Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Corporation. Prior to Mr. Schlein’s tenure with Republic, he spent six years in KPMG’s audit department.
Mr. Schlein received his Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors and Masters of Business Administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York, Zicklin School of Business. Mr. Schlein is a Certified Public Accountant in New York. In addition, Mr. Schlein’s professional memberships have included the Economic Club of New York, the Bankers Roundtable, and the New York Commodity Exchange, Inc. (COMEX). Mr. Schlein also is a trustee of the Baruch College Fund, a member of its Business Advisory Council, and has served on its Executive Committee.
