Douglas started his financial career at Salomon Brothers Asia Limited in Tokyo, Japan in 1990. From 1993-1997, he was head of Japanese Portfolio Trading at Lehman Brothers Japan, and from 1997 to
2003, Douglas ran Portfolio trading and was co-head of Japanese equity and equity Derivative Product at Merrill Lynch Japan Sec.
In 2003, Douglas moved back to New York to trade proprietary for Merrill Lynch before joining RP Capital. Douglas has a BA in Physics from St Cloud State University in Minnesota, USA. He studied graduate physics at the University of Tsukuba in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
