Founder of Elemental Knowledge. Prior to EKI, Doug served as director of contactless technologies at SIRIT technologies. SIRIT designs, develops, manufactures and sells RFID reader devices. Doug’s responsibilities included engineering, development and testing of new and strategic products in the 13.56 MHz (high frequency) band.
Prior to SIRIT,
Doug founded and was president of TradeWind Technologies. TradeWind Technologies designed, developed, manufactured, and sold RFID readers in the 13.56 MHz band. TradeWind’s main product was an SDIO RFID reader that was sold and used as an attachment to PDA’s or mobile phones.
TradeWind was acquired by SIRIT technologies of Toronto, Ontario in April of 2006. Prior to TradeWind Technologies, Doug founded Yeager Automation, a software company focused on providing CNC controller software to home users and hobbyists wanting to use their generic PC to run CNC machinery or other uses for motor control. Doug also served as an application engineer on the MATRIXx modeling software product at WindRiver Inc.
Doug also served as a project engineer with Sandia National Labs in Livermore, California after completing his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.
