His dedication earned him a place in the top 10 percent of his graduating class and membership in the National Honor Society and the National Business Honor Society, reflecting his commitment to learning and leadership.
After high school, Donovan attended Princeton University, where he majored in Economics and earned a certificate in Political Economy—his time at Princeton helped him develop a deep understanding of business and economics and critical thinking skills that would later prove invaluable in his professional career. He graduated cum laude in 2017, a testament to his hard work and academic achievement.
While still an undergraduate, Donovan gained his first hands-on experience in the business world through an MBA internship program. In the summer of 2016, he worked as a Brand Management intern at a major CPG company, where he was part of a team responsible for developing marketing strategies for a $300 million brand. His focus was on expanding the brand’s market share among Hispanic consumers, and this internship provided him with crucial insights into market segmentation and consumer behavior.
After graduating from Princeton, Donovan accepted a full-time role as an Assistant Brand Manager at the same CPG company. In this role, he revitalized a $100 million brand by introducing new digital marketing strategies and refreshing the product’s packaging. One of his major achievements was launching the brand’s Instagram page, which quickly became a vital part of its digital strategy and increased customer engagement significantly.
In 2019, Donovan was promoted to Associate Brand Manager, managing a $400 million brand. His responsibilities included working with agency partners to develop customer-facing strategies and responding to market trends. His ability to adapt and tailor marketing approaches to meet consumer needs contributed to the brand’s continued success.
After more than three years in brand management, Donovan shifted his focus to digital marketing. He joined a digital marketing agency, where his expertise in managing large brands helped him succeed in a rapidly changing industry. Now serving as an Account Director, he manages accounts with advertising budgets exceeding $2 million annually. His certification in Google Ads, combined with his deep knowledge of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, search engine marketing (SEM), and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, allows him to design and execute successful digital strategies for his clients.
Outside his professional life, Donovan enjoys staying active and exploring the outdoors. He is an avid runner and has completed two half marathons. Hiking is another passion, and one of his most memorable experiences was completing the Four Pass Loop in Colorado, a challenging 27-mile trail that pushed his endurance to new levels. In addition to running and hiking, he enjoys photography, particularly capturing landscapes during his outdoor adventures.
He also enjoys spending time with his two dogs, who often accompany him on hikes. In his downtime, he plays video games, with Runescape being one of his favorite ways to unwind.
