Donald Johnston was Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) from 1996 to 2006. Johnston was a Member of Canadian Parliament from 1978 to 1988. He served in the Cabinet, first as President of the Treasury Board, and then as Minister of State for Economic and Regional Development, Minster of Science and
Technology, Minister of Justice, and Attorney General of Canada. After stepping down from the OECD in 2006, he resumed his legal career and is Senior Adviser to the McCall MacBain Foundation in Geneva, Chairman of the International Risk Governance Council in Geneva from 2006 until 2010, visitng Professor Yonsei University, Seoul, 2006-2010.
