Dmitry Kharchenko is former Chief Technology Officer and Chief Data Officer at Friendsurance, an innovative German InsureTech that introduced the world’s first peer-to-peer insurance model in 2010 and nowadays offers scalable and modular #1 in Europe digital bancassurance platforms for national and international partners such as Deutsche Bank and Allianz. Dmitry was leading Friendsurance’s strong tech, data, and agile diversified expert teams across several countries. In his cross-divisional role as CTO & CDO, he is responsible for the technological and strategic development of Friendsurance’s bancassurance platforms and new applications, including the areas of online banking integration, business intelligence, security, governance, and data-driven products. Dmitry was Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at bonify(acquired by Schufa), a VC-funded Berlin credit-scoring Fintech startup that he scaled to more than a million customers. Before, he grew the Fintech ecosystem as CTO in residence and co-founder of Finleap’s incubator Fintech startup. Prior to this, he built Firelayers(acquired by Proofpoint), a cyber security Israeli startup that with advanced architectures built layers of protection on top of Google Apps, Box, and Dropbox. Additionally, he founded Israeli Tech company WizeVision International, professional software development services to corporations, in which he acted as a CO- CEO. In one of his previous roles, he was a senior data and business intelligence expert at HighView (acquired by MatrixBI). Dmitry served 3 years in the Intelligence Service of Israel Defense Forces, where he dealt with cyber security and data protection.
