Dr. Dirk Mucha serves as the Chief Technical Office and as a member of the Board of Directors. In addition to leading software-hardware research and development, Dirk serves as the head of Regulatory, overseeing product approval for global markets.
Fiagon has maintained a strong focus on continuous innovation, driving progress in surgical
navigation over the last decade. Dirk has spearheaded the technological expansion of Fiagon into global Neurosurgery including brain and spine. As co-founder, Dirk has lead his R&D teams under a philosophy of streamlined development, utilizing rapid iteration cycles to maximize efficiency.
In 2009 Dirk received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin. His focus in Electromagnetic Sensors for Image Guided Surgery led Dirk to join Timo as co-founder of the then-infant-company, Fiagon, upon graduation. Dirk also holds a his Masters in Science in electrical engineering and control systems from the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Darmstadt, Germany and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
Devoted to supporting research and education within the community, Dirk has facilitated numerous Masters and Doctoral degrees over the last decade. Employing equal commitment to his team, he has cultivated a prolific R&D program, cementing Fiagon as an industry leader in innovation.
