Dirk Loeckx, cofounder of icometrix, is a biomedical engineer, inventor, academic and business specialist. He completed his degree in Physical Engineering at the University of Ghent in 2001, followed by postgraduate training in Biomedical and Physical Engineering and Medical Physics at the University of Leuven. He gained his PhD in 2006 for his
research on Automated Nonrigid Intra-Patient Image Registration Using B-Splines with the Medical Image Computing group in Leuven where he continued to work on a variety of applications for nonrigid image registration and biomedical image processing. In 2009, he obtained an MBA degree at the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. Dirk Loeckx is author or co-author of over 80 scientific publications, and inventor on several patents and patent applications.
