Dipto Chakravarty is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Black Duck. Previously, he served as a executive vice president of engineering and products for ThreatTrack Security. He is responsible for driving innovation across the company's entire cybersecurity portfolio, leading all global research and development initiatives.
Dipto has
more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. His experience with global staffing and leading dual-shore research and development programs enables ThreatTrack Security to capitalize on the efficiencies of its development and research teams in the United States, Europe and the Philippines
Prior to joining ThreatTrack Security, Dipto held senior leadership positions at Novell and NetIQ, where he served in the positions of vice president of engineering and product management, and general manager of cloud security services.
Prior to Novell, he was the senior vice president of engineering at e-Security until its acquisition by Novell. Earlier, he co-founded Artesia Technologies (acquired by OpenText) where he served as chief technology officer. Prior to Artesia, Dipto held engineering positions at IBM, Thomson and Bell Labs.
In addition to his extensive professional experience, Dipto is the author of two bestselling books on computer architecture and operating systems and holds 11 patents.
