Based in London, United Kingdom, Diana Hunter is a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor with a number of UK and international brands, following a successful career in the retail and wholesale sectors. She has worked alongside internationally renowned and recognised brands including Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.
Her Non-Executive work sees her
advising companies from their earliest stages through to breaking into new markets, looking for support with IPO, M&A, Fundraising, Plc governance and strategic growth initiatives.
As a non-executive director, Diana Hunter has helped to guide start-ups such as Wolf and Badger, Downing Strategic Micro Cap Investment Trust Plc and the Wines and Spirits Trade Association, and she has also held Trustee positions for philanthropic bodies such as The Benevolent and Family and Childcare Trust.
Her background in the retail and wholesale industries started on the Sainsbury’s Graduate programme in 1990, where she quickly rose through the company, before taking on the role of Head of Format and Development for Sainsbury Plc. Following a successful 14 years, Diana Hunter joined Waitrose where she became Director of Store Development. At Waitrose, she spearheaded the conceptualization, launch and management of Little Waitrose, which was profitable in the space of 12 months. Diana was then offered the position of Chief Executive Office of Conviviality Plc, a business which she ran for five years. In her time here, she grew the company from a market value of £66m to over £500m.
Diana now uses her extensive business and leadership experience within this field to help other companies as a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor.
