As SVP and MD of Fitbit International, Des is responsible for leading the Fitbit business outside of the Americas. Based in our International headquarters in Dublin, Des oversees markets in APAC, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. By focusing on team building and customer engagement, he has developed teams with a history of outstanding regional
and global performance. Before joining Fitbit, Des was an executive at Philips and Harman International, where he worked on a range of consumer audio products while focusing on sales, marketing, product strategy, operations and business unit leadership. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in electronic engineering from Trinity College Dublin with subsequent executive education at INSEAD, CEIBS Shanghai and Harvard Business School. Des has lived and held leadership positions in America, China and Europe. As a proud Irish national, he is thrilled to be back in his homeland with family and friends.
