Derek is a leader in loan analytics and securitization within the mortgage and consumer finance industries. He has led large engagements for both public and private sector institutions. Derek has managed and modeled RMBS transactions for Ginnie Mae transactions and developed and validated proprietary cash flow models for ABS, RMBS, and SLABS. Derek
has led projects involving cash flow waterfall model development, whole loan analysis, MSR and security valuations and model validations.
Prior to joining RiskSpan and Hollister Group, he was a Senior Consultant at KPMG Consulting in the Capital Markets Group where he specialized in cash flow modeling, risk analysis, market valuation, model validations and business integration for technology and business consulting services. He has led the business analysis, business requirements, documentation and testing efforts of customized business software development for financial administration and modeling. Derek is also experienced with due diligence, collateral analysis, and modeling for various assets including MBS, CMBS, and ABS.
Derek holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BA in Economics and Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
