As Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Derek Flowers is accountable for the effective governance of the company’s risk programs. As the leader of the independent corporate risk function, he oversees all financial and non-financial risks, including compliance risk management. Derek’s leadership team includes chief risk officers
for each of the five business groups and Finance, and risk officers overseeing risk management programs by risk type. Derek serves on the Wells Fargo Operating Committee and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Derek began his career in Wholesale Banking where he served in various lending and strategic planning roles. He received his B.S. degree in finance and entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona and earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
