Dennis Cameron is the senior vice president and general counsel for WPX Energy, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience in energy, royalty and environmental law. Prior to joining WPX in 2012, he was of counsel with GableGotwals, a private firm he had been with since 1987.
He is a member of the Oklahoma, Texas, Tulsa County and American Bar
associations, as well as the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and the Institute for Energy Law advisory board. He has a juris doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated with honors, and a bachelor’s of science degree from OU in mechanical engineering with distinction.
Dennis is involved with the American Heart Association and Big Brothers and Sisters of Oklahoma. He has received multiple professional honors, including Best Lawyers in America from 2007-2014 and Oklahoma Super Lawyer from 2006-2012. Dennis also serves as a lecturer at continuing education seminars sponsored by the ABA, COPAS and PASO. He is a native of Tulsa, Okla.
