Debrah Lee Charatan has built an outstanding record in real estate sales over the past 40 years. Since 2008, she has served as the Founder and President of BCB Property Management, where she focuses on the booming multifamily and mixed-use markets in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Under her leadership, BCB has worked on more than 60 buildings and close to
one million square feet of space, a figure that includes 1,000-plus residential units and over 70 commercial units.
A notable philanthropist as well, Charatan gives back to the community through the Charatan Family Foundation, with particular emphasis on organizations that provide medical care, offer cultural experiences, preserve traditions and make New York a better place to live. To this end, she and the Charatan Family Foundation support New Destiny Housing, the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Foundation, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Jewish Museum, the Central Park Conservancy and the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation, where she is a member of the Gevurah Society. Charatan also serves on the Lincoln Center Corporate Fund’s Women’s Leadership Council, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Real Estate Council, and Selfhelp Community Services Foundation’s board of trustees, of which she is vice chair.
